----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Crocodile Park (el Cocodrillo) powerpoint presentacion En Español crocodile park.pptAn ecological exercise in the form of a 4.8 hectare intensive park for a small town This project was presented in the local cinema,to the citezans and the students ,accepted by ALL including the mayor ,but blocked and killed by two politicians(the ppt has been modified and cut to fit this page, and the music may not play if it is not in your PC.)
photos, lake with the school in the back ground, the front entrance with bus stop The land belonged to the local High school and at the time had a large crocodile that lived in one of the 2 ponds, But not enough pets or students went swimming and the poor crocodile died of hunger . This is now 4 years ago
A beautiful piece of land to develop for a park since it had much variation ,
The terrain is a dog leg with a plateau in the elbow.
Two ponds that had permanent water because they were with in the natural drainage system of that area
A view of the main pond (A in the ppt) a seen from the school
this is where the crocodile lived
The plan was to fence it off, and add more aquatic animals , fish and plants
This was bordered on the top by a large flat plateau
The road ran alongside for an easy entrance into the service area with plenty of room for a large car park
(Photo .the plateau seen from afar showing pond B,)
Perfect to develop for amenities We planned an aviary,Aquarium, Snake House,An Internet cafe, Theater,Bar ,Restaurant4 large school rooms,
And a small workshop to process fruit drinks and marmalade. ,from the produce of the terrain photo left the plateau up close
Going around the bend we first get another pond .
good to stock with ducks and fish
With a steep hill finishing off the property where we wanted to build an Observarory photo above --pond B shows the hill in the background,,and seen from the side .
On the side above is a large slow hill perfect for cabins ,and dormitories,
And there was a wooded section where we wanted to put deer and wild boar
Technical details and cost were in the presentation We surveyed the land with satnav.
The park was scrapped in favor of a football field that never happened
But one of the real reasons was that the school politics did not want to share the park with the whole town and another one bites the dust ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- P R O J E CT P A P A, The ppt presentation are in Spanish
